MIDNIGHT MOUNTAINS is a titanium ring, with a laser cut mountain range inlayed with blue opals, Lapis Lazuli, Water Sapphire (Iolite), Sapphire, meteorite shavings, and a mixture of aqua, blue and purple pigments and glow powders. This ring only comes in an 8mm width with flat (not beveled) edges. Keep reading below to learn more about the materials used.
This ring is MADE-TO-ORDER so please allow me 1-2 weeks to perfect your ring. Keep in mind the ring I make for you will not be exactly like the picture, but it will convey the same mood/energy/atmosphere.
ABOUT THE MATERIALS:
Titanium is one of the strongest and long-lasting materials on planet Earth. It is inert and completely resistant to corrosion. Since titanium doesn't react with salt water, sunlight or body chemistry, feel free to wear it to the beach or in any elements... titanium can handle it. Even the most sensitive skin can wear this ring, since titanium is completely bio-compatible (hypoallergenic). This non-ferrous metals is also, VERY resistant to deforming...you can hit it with a hammer with medium force and the hammer will bounce right off the ring. Titanium can scratch, but is much more scratch resistant than silver, gold, or platinum. Keep in mind scratches are superficial and can be easily polished out. The ring is light weight and has a rounded inner surface, making it extremely comfortable to wear.
There are a lot of different stones in this ring. Firstly, there are several different hues of blue iridescent opals, giving this ring a lot of dimension and radiant color shifting abilities. Other stones in this ring include natural Lapis Lazuli, and Iolite, commonly known as Water Sapphire, as well as a bit of real sapphire and tiny bits of sparsely place turquoise.
The meteorite shaving are from the Muonionalusta meteorite, which impacted the northern Scandinavian region one million years ago, and is older than Earth itself! The high iron/nickel content of the meteorite shavings, gives accents of lustrous silver highlights.
I also added 3 different glow pigment to this ring that glows a combination of aqua, blue and purple when activated by UV light/sunlight.
